Pull-apart bread may be formed into a number of shapes, but loaf shapes and rounded shapes are the most common. Many types of bread can be made into a pull apart form. I am sharing today my tried and tested recipe of cheesy garlic pull apart bread. Homemade breads are always tastes great with their fresh flavour and taste. My family love this pull apart cheesy and garlicky flavoured bread.

Recipe

Preparation time: 3 hour

Baking time: 40 min

Difficulty level: easy

Serves: 8 portions

Ingredients

  • 4 cup All purpose flour/Maida
  • 1 teaspoon dry active yeast
  • 2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup grated Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon Thyme(optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Coriander leaves or parsley to garnish

Steps

Mix together 1 teaspoon of yeast, 2 teaspoons of sugar and 1 cup warm milk.

Keep aside for 10 minutes to bloom the yeast.

In a big mixing bowl, add all-purpose flour, salt, garlic powder, chilli flakes, oregano and thyme according to the given portion.

Mix together to incorporate the spices well to the flour. Add 1/2 cup of grated cheese.

Mix well and then add the bloomed yeast mixture to the flour.

Also, add 1 egg and mix.

Make a soft and sticky dough by adding warm water 2-3 tablespoons at a time. I added about 1/4th cup of warm water to make the dough. You may need a little more or less water.

Cover and keep the bowl in a comparatively warm place of your kitchen for about 2 hours.I kept in the swich off microwave.

After 2 hours the dough will become double in size.

Transfer the dough to a working surface. Knead for about 5 minutes more.

Grease a round cake tin of size 8-inch diameter.

Take an orange size portion from the dough and roll to make a round shape.

Place the balls one after another in the cake tin like the picture.

Like this place all the balls one after another.

Beat an egg and brush over the bread.

Spread 1/2 cup of grated cheese over the bread.

Cover and again keep aside for 1/2 an hour. The dough will bloom again.

Preheat oven to 200 degrees C for 10 minutes.

Bake the bread for about 40 minutes at 200 degrees.

Note that after 15 minutes of baking off the upper rod of the oven so that top of the bread won’t burn.

After 40 minutes take out the bread from the oven.

Sprinkle some coriander leaves or parsley and enjoy.

They are soft, full of flavours, fluffy pull-apart bread that you would love to have it.
